Good analysis of the problem by OP and great advices on solutions by ND. Trading indeed makes so many people crazy, because unless you have a solid systematic approach, you're left with subjective guessing, which is extremely hard process emotionally unless you're a person with absolute trust to your intuition (and it assumes your intuition already proved to work). Now, what stops most people from development of a good systematic approach in my experience of observing many struggling traders is the lack of... systematic approach. It takes long hours to test everything well, to apply all kinds of statistics to your discoveries etc. Not many people really do that work deliberately enough to see what actually "works" and what doesn't.
Don't persuade yourself,you'll never find a consistent,solid,profitable daytrading method as there is none.

Before I go to the Easter mass, want to say NoD, I admire how you took the bits we talked about years ago and turned into your own unique signals. I barely recognize trails of my own work there and our both ways work so well it really shows how creative trading can be. Such a simple game: up/down/sideways and so many ways to play!
If you could show your statement of consistent profitable trading activity for at least several years,I'd eat my laptop.Can you show the evidence that your one of a kind who made it?If not,please STFU already!There are A FEW ET members that accidentley caught good times and were able to produce anything meaningful during a short span of time.After that they admitted that everything's changed not in their favor.Its not just me who finds it inpossible,its just the way it is.I doubt that even trading anyway.If you are so cool,show the evidence!
No. Yes, that simple, no. Neither show anything as I am not obligated to show anything to anyone except those people I am willing to nor shut up. And you will have to live with that. Only thing you can do is ignore someone saying something you don't like. Such is a real life. Notice how you are frustrated with the reality, which is beyond your control. Imposing your ego onto something/someone that/who cares less about you is one of the serious reasons people lose in trading too.
