I really would appreciate some guidance...

I've had no luck with Google and this site's search so far...

Look, I am very young and I am barely into high school. I know I really shouldn't even be playing with the idea of trading. I'll get to the point. I've been tinkering with tradingsim.com a little bit and it's gotten to the point to where I feel I don't even understand the absolute basics of the stock market and trading in general. I really want a good book or resource that's designed to introduce someone with absolutely no knowledge on the subject to general trading and investing. Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

Also, if I ever progress farther from where I am today, what's a good piece of trading software/simulator for Linux? Are there any GNU licensed options (aka free open-source software)?
