Happy New Year, people! As 2010 has now settled into the sun, the final tally have come out. Apple sold 14.79 million iPads in 2010. This blows away even the highest analyst estimate of 10 million back in May. Who was it that said it wouldn't even sell 2 million? Estimate are we are going higher next year. 14.79 million iPads But on a related note, I did buy an iPad, thought it was great but didn't use it enough and sold it on eBay. Had too many computer devices, at work, at home.
No thanks to iPad! This was such a better deal............. http://www.merimobiles.com/Zenithink_ZT_180_10_tablet_Android_2_1_Gsensor_p/meri0512.htm
some reviewers say it only gets about 2-hours of continuous use battery life. I am with you though that Android tablets will eventually take over iPads once a few solid products hit the market. I am rather enjoying my cr-48 Chrome OS netbook that Google sent me to test. 6+ hours of use without a re-charge (several days on stand-by) with 12" screen and full keyboard and very secure OS. I don't know what the future for Chrome OS is but it an interesting device and has delayed my plans for a tablet by at least a year. I would pay $80-$100 for one of these when/if they hit retail while waiting for tablet prices to come down.
