the es is actually a somewhat forgiving mkt, considering its ebb and flow I had to laugh, this market is viewed by many as the most difficult market in the world to trade. But I have to agree with you. It's that ebb and flow that many times give you a second chance on the reversals. As for the scaling, when we get to 100 cars or more is when we have to split orders and scale in and out Patience Have a good weekend - EZ
Ezzy - this is a very interesting topic to me, and I'd love to discuss it at more length when time permits. I think it boils down to how a trader reacts to the situation where he has just experienced a losing trade, but still has the signal to be back in the mkt for the same directional trade. Can he quickly re-enter, or does he need some time to digest the loss just incurred. Ultimately, these kind of questions can only be resolved within one's own complex psychological make-up. And, it's quite possible there is a definitive answer (possessed by the cognescenti), and I have just not found it due to juggling all the balls while seeking the path through the maze. Regards ...
Hmm - I believe I've just told myself on how I will proceed. Hahaha ... nothing like airing one's dirty laundry
Well, I have apparently rounded the corner and am now heading in another direction - unfortunately, the wrong direction - heheh. So, if I am to adhere to the given tenets of the methodology, it's time to begin the re-wiring process. Such is the value of simtrading - a beginner's testing ground. Another day of many ...
Well - ya gonna have to bear with me for awhile now - I've stumbled off the trail, but I'm a roundin' up some good dogs to help me with the scent. Thought maybe I could at least end the day in positive territory, but got snookered on the last trade. Stay tuned - I swear I'll find the other side again, sometime - heheh.
Slow getting results up today - had to wait on the last trade of the day, which, by the way, goes out to nkhoi - from the trader 'within' (sorry, semi-private joke). Now, if folks could only appreciate the scorn and ridicule awaiting me tomorrow a.m. in the war room. All I can say is that this string of losing days was bearing down on me, so it was time to pull out all the 'stops', and rely on my tried and true techniques. But it's right back to the Pt. 3's tomorrow ...
Another small loss day - I feel like I'm getting stuck in a rut. But the gang is working hard, and the ideas and discussions are going full bore - I'm 'blaming' this week on option expiry (joking). BTW, apparently had a power blip or something while out this evening, so the results page is in a different format. This is an Excel shareware program for Bracket Trader - if any BT users are not aware of it, it's a convenient way to keep a daily trading log. Will be glad to send the link if interested ...
Nothing much to comment on that hasn't already been said - still making mistakes, and just trying to find my way through the transition. For the end of this week, my thought is TGIF ...
