I'm not sure if you're referring to something the numnut earlier in the thread was talking about and myself? But if by a Principal of a Firm refers to me? I'm not sure, because I put the little girl on ignore, because I have z e r o toleration (literally, my Partners will do interactions with outside Relationships, because I'm somewhat known for a zero tolerance of B.S. policy) for little girls that can't see a Forest for a tree. But if it was? Yes, I am. Majority Principal in one firm, Minority Principal in a Second Firm. PM of both. Heck, I got here at ET on accident ... and just a happenstance in doing some searches for an interest of Jack Schwagers, looking for reviews on his project. I'll help out as the day is long (for instance, the other thread where trying to help ones see how to build a simple Non-Correlative, Mult-Strat Portfolio, and the concepts behind them), because people helped me get to where I'm at. And despite what people hear in the Social Justice Media steam? Professionals are willing and eager to help others out. But yeah, I have zero toleration for people who just deny basic common sense, and want to argue about the shade of blue for the color of the sky. I have seen people argue with Clifford Assness on specifics, and it just cracks me up. Keyboard commandos taking to Social Media to argue Market Specifics with a Legendary Quant and Billionare. Pikers and little girls do crap like that, and I have time for neither.
Definitely a viable thesis with the proper risk controls. Really enjoyed the video too. I tell aspiring traders that all the time. You want to be a trader? Get ... used ... to .... discomfort. You get paid, to be uncomfortable.
It was a simple question ... you reckon Sosnoff publishes his trading performance ... so where is it ? Or does this fall into your zero tolerance bucket ?
I can see where this is leading raVar http://facesofdeth.blogspot.com/2016/04/death-by-whirlpool-uk.html
Yikes - the whirlpool! Was out windsurfing outside of the golden gate bridge, the wind died down - I drifted into a big freaky whirlpool about 30' wide. My sail got sucked way down under water causing my board to tombstone. I had to dive down and struggled with all I had to detach my sail from the board, I thought I was a goner as my energy was fading quickly. What saved me is I had tied a rope to my boards foot strap around my harness to make a leash. I lost my rig/sail in that whirlpool, but was grateful to have saved my board & life. About 2 hours of paddling in against a strong current a fishing boat rescued me - he was frantic for me to get in fast, when I got in he told me he had found me from following a big great white - it was dark out. When I was putting my board in my van I saw that that one end of the foot strap had gotten ripped out - 2 big screws were completely pulled out. It's amazing the rope did not slip off - there was a great deal of pressure on it.
