hello, my laptop is a bit slow compared to my work needs. So I decided to add more ram to it. hmm i have an extra ram from my old laptop. I decided to install it but after reboot I did not see that ram in my laptop. I do not know how to do it. I need some help.
Your motherboard will accommodate only certain RAM, not just "anything you have lying around". Consult your owner's manual for specs.
Look for youtube tutorials on how to do it. Or actually contact a computer technician's shop to do it for you, if it's possible.
You need to know how much memory your laptop supports, then you need to go forward. For example my 7 years old supports up to 8GB of DDR3 ram and I will use radeon memory instead of hynix installed here, I mean I will buy 2 slots for 4GB each and will sell current one, also will use 1.35V memory types.
