There is a newbie thread that you can check out. Why don't you keep trying to trade your own account? The longer you stay alive the more lessons you can learn. There are tons of books out there and you can check out Buffet's letters online. Nothing like experience to get you to the level you want to be. You can always join a different firm. It's hard to get in but it can be done. Just don't expect them to teach you anything. The learning curve is steep and you are the one that has to push the envelope. You sound like you are employed because you wouldn't be able to sign up for the 7 series without being sponsored. Hope that helps.
i have come to learn that trading is a natural born talent that cannot be taught. what i mean is this: if a trader has an inate ability he can be taught the basics but if he does'nt have that "x factor",he will not be successful over the long run.
