I meet Trump :)

  1. Jack is far too modest to seek out that kind of attention. Besides, for every moment that he spends away from the screen during market hours, millions are lost in opportunity cost. As for weekends, I have it on good authority that he spends this time attending to his pilgrims. I understand that he is in the market for a suitable mountaintop from which he may dispense his pearls in the requisite fashion that sages throughout history have tended to favor.

  2. Donald is a great guy to learn from. It is not easy growing up having a rich father who is a builder and than becoming a rich builder yourself. What are the odds on someone pulling that off?

True story I was hanging out with Donald today and he told on the 25th some guy backstage with his girlfriend was bothering him with questions. Did you see that guy? He was saying he don’t know how a guy with a $10 shirt bought a backstage ticket.

  4. If they're so wrong, perhaps you could tell us your secret to virtuous riches. Otherwise, it just sounds like sour grapes.

  5. Not sour grapes I dont think..... at least for me Kiyosaki is the worst of them all. His books contain no useful information at all. My admiration comes from the fact that he can still get people to buy them. Even a cursory glance at his history will tell you he got rich by selling get rich quick books. You could have some respect if he got rich and then tried to explain how he did it but basically the books he is selling is how he made his money.

I was so embarassed for him when I read a section he wrote on options and it had so many mistakes of info in there you wonder if he ever really traded an option. I remember his definition of P/E was the most ignorant thing I ever read. One thing I can never take away from him is what a great salesman he is.

At least Trump had to work to some extent (even though he was handed a cherry situation by his Dad he still had to work for what it is today).

"sour grapes"....nahhh...just the facts, read the book and make your own assessment...there's no "secret" to success, buy low and sell higher, while working harder and smarter than the rest of the pack...i'm no guru so i dont have an "edge" or "secret" or "holy grail" to sell or preach...

  8. i would think the smartest thing trump ever did was to make his brand very successful, even if it's ad nauseam. the trump name alone makes money makers willing throw their monies at him no matter what.....didn't his taj mahal got bailed or something without him losing a cent?

  9. A fraudster, huh? Hmmm... sounds a bit like those who run Ann Coulter down for her incredibly entrepreneurial approach to branding herself.

Just because the guy has the kind of mindset that allows him to brand himself doesn't mean he's a 'fraudster', IMO. There are bigger fraudsters on here - those who claim you can make a fortune with $2500 down in trading. People who do Donald's gig are generally self-confident types and pretty bright, as far as I can tell. Sure, the Donald's dad had bucks but he made it through Wharton, didn't he?

Anyway, even if he's not a real genius, he's a genius at making money in America. He made and lost a fortune in RE and then, luckily, American culture sank into the toilet with the whole 'reality TV-cult of personality-famous for being famous' trend that we've seen emerging in the past 10 years. It was right up his alley and he saw an opportunity and went for it.

All this moaning sounds like sour grapes. The question is this - how many of us would turn down $10MM to make a public fool of himself, repeatedly, for 90 days straight? What would you do for $10MM? He saw the offer and he did what it takes to grab the cash. The offer is open to anyone.

  10. My sentiments exactly. I have a hard time believing that the nay sayers here are so dignified that if they had the wherewithal to make a fortune in a similar manner, they would refuse to do so. Instead, preferring to go on with much less ability to live life on their own terms, than to resort to such chicanery.

Maybe so, but I'd rather have the dough and live in the lap of luxury....it's human nature.
