Yes but not like the food we are used to. He probably only eats rice which costs about 75 cents per kilo in his country. 4 hours of work will probably feed his family for the day. The other 2 dollars he makes is to pay rent, buy clothes, shoes. Obviously he doesnt shop at the mall or name brand stores. He buys stuff from regular business people that set up shops on the side of the road and sell things alot cheaper.
That job for him is his freedom....Our ancestors came to America with the hopes of finding a job like that and then moving up.

Could be that his countries ruler is a dictator installled by an industrialized nation to siphon off their natural resources and pay the kid his .20 cents. His freedom?
