I hear you silk. I had a good january and february, but things have dried up real fast in march. After taking a nice hit in my p/l I've decided to take a hiatus from my main trading. I'm still watching the market but with nowhere near the same intensity as before. Best part is I don't have to wake up early anymore. Can finally sleep in on the weekdays for once. I figure I'll take it slow for a couple of months. Enough time to get a larger perspective on the market and enough time for the iraq situation to sort itself out.

  3. E-mini Futures have plenty of opps. on days like today.
it was good for 25.5pts today in my account.

I would however, differ from the crowds opinion, in that taking time
off or thinking that its better to turn your back on the market isn't
    all that good an idea.

I would submit that it might be better to actually sit down and rethink your current strategy. Perhaps very definitively go over what WILL work in this market. There are people still killing it, each day in this mkt.
That not withstanding, as a previous poster said, who knows how long it will last. This dead mkt. could go on another Year!

I believe to survive in this business, moreover to make true realizations of significant profit, a trader Must continually be looking for ways to adapt to the market. Not the other way around.

    my 2c's anyway....

    Silk,

It's been tough for most people. Market is really choppy dude. I hear ya. But I think just like some people here said you have to rethink your strategy.

But according to a recent post, you wrote:

    worldco scam?
I came to worldco with 3k dollars and a small car filled with personal belongings. Less than 2 years later i have made 2 million dollars. Not to mention they have cut my commission rates multiple times without me having to ask.

If only i could find a few more scams like this.

With $2M, I think you can afford to take a break and rethink and regroup??? No?

  8. Corn,

You seem like a man of wisdom. You should make yourself more prevalent on these boards.

    for all:

Just 'cause shares suck doesn't mean that bonds or currencies do. It's always cocktail hour somewhere. It's always payday somewhere.

  10. <b>"The specialist stole my money again."</b> been there done that.

    <b>"add more monitors for more opportunities...."</b> :D :D :D

<b>"Its only a matter of time... volatility will unleash soon, we will all bank if we are prepared and ready to rock"</b>... i've been known to say the same thing myself.

<b>There are people still killing it, each day in this mkt.</b>... my guess is that these people who 'kill it' have days when they in turn are 'killed.' imho.

<b>Actually, you gave him money...</b> this is a clever little line intended, it seems, to shake you out of the denial you must be in which facilitates your frustration and difficulty in killing the market. it's also bosh. these guys play with quotes and order flow in order to induce you to dump that long precisely before it takes off. they do practice fraud, and that is stealing.

i wonder why some philoso-trader hasn't expounded on how the screens are really <i>mirrors;</i> especially the on with the p&l window...:p
