Something like that. It was six or 7 [seven] months ,one trade per year; OCT -APR.:D:D,:D:D:D:D:D
OF course that did not work to well in 2018, but it was profitable in2018, S&P 500/SPY+dividends. I used to study mutual funds much more+ still had a fun read on one this year; Fidelity ContraFund , long tech stocks.......... + singled out GE= as not buying that one LOL. I like ETFs, can close 'em out before 4;00EST/3 Central Time

When Fidelity came out with all the "selects", they were very good for 1-2 year buy/hold, now it better doing commodities/hedge and risk less than 1%. 1980's lead the way for much cheaper brokerage, cause in the 1970s to do a commodity trade was over $100. I do remember at one time you could day trade the "Selects" but they ended that pretty quick as so many started doing it, just making trades with handheld phone. That was advanced for it's time, LOL

Way way off the subject. As you talk about commodities...Just wondering if certain companies forgot about options they had and have taken delivery of products they didn't need. Companies like Tyson, Walmart, Costco...WOW, we have 100,000 pounds of pork bellies...Where do we put it?? I am sure that it has happened...Miscommunications from one part of a company to the other!!

You know, I'll bet you 50 tons of pig stomachs that it has in fact happened. Companies that large tend to have inventory control issues... They wind up either stocking up on stuff they didn't know they were already overstock on, or understocking on items they THOUGHT they had lots of.

There's a reason that those companies have an external inventory company come into each individual store once or twice-per-year to run inventory audits.
