I just got a margin call from my broker, for the second time! I’m thinking now if it’s really that b

  1. Really? Twice?? I started with $200 in my pocket to invest. I found out about brokers that do not require a lot of deposit and put my first 200 with fxview. Call it my luck or my market study brought results, in 3 months my 200 grew over 3k. Thankfully I never came in a situation of getting a margin call, but even if someone does get that, it is just like a sign. Not to leave the market but perhaps strategize (like you mentioned). From forex I have also diversified into stocks now, but instead of daytrading treating them as long term investments. Dividends on tech companies are good, and XM is a reliable broker for market scanning

Does anyone remember what happened in 2007-08, I shudder to think the number of margin calls that investors would have got.

I would just take it as a reminder, like from my credit bank.

  5. It’s good to be confident but be careful there. Markets are an unknown territory always, no matter how skilled a trader becomes.

  6. Is $200 the minimum balance required in order to open an account with fxview?

  7. It’s actually 5 euro, that is all you will need to open an account with them. Other low cost brokers that I found out were tiomarkets and forex.com. Hope this will help, cheers

  8. I don’t understand the deal with these cheap brokers. It’s ok to start off with but after a while if one wants to sustain trading and is taking it seriously, it’s highly important to have a big capital. No point trading otherwise if you ask me.

  9. You said it yourself, they are needed for starting with. It is not that people might not have money to start trading, it is actually to do with the fact that testing is required to be able to know if one is even meant for this kind of thing.

  10. Absolutely, only a fool or someone with a whole lot of money rotting would start big.
