The only fault I find in your above statement is that the same thoughts are not applied equally to folks like Clinton, Obama, etc.
It is a legitimate issue. When you're an anti-business-as-usual outsider and political novice, it's very hard to find people who are experienced and who share your agenda. Trump made a big mistake getting his family involved, which created discord with the few staffers who supported his agenda. It's unprecedented to have key figures, such as his chief of staff and Nat Security director, being people who clearly did not support him. Ditto Gary Cohn and much of the econ staff. The result is we get an historic election where the republican candidate brings in tons of new voters from the white working class and all he can get out of a republican congress is a big tax giveaway for their donors.
