even warrior trading guys were talking about how they suspect that AI is actively changing trend direction trying to push traders out constantly at every point on the chart trying to constantly create traps.
Speculation is fun, but many mistake it for facts. It's more about statistical probabilities. While Ai is the current buzzword, referenced in this context, one is referring to LLMs which parses and calculates probability tokens on English. As such the application of LLMs is more geared to Sentiment Analysis and all it's flavors. It's true that some LLMs are good at coding but that code is built around the concepts of a proprietary data model that market generated data is sent through in a pre-processing pipeline. ML, on the other hand, is much more prevalent. The bottom line is that liquidity is offered or taken. There is research that documents how in the 'Algo Wars', there emerged a class of algos that sought to trigger others in 'adverse selection' but the idea that there are 'precise traps.. for retail traders' is conspiratorial at best - in this context these HFT algos operate faster than 'the blink of the eye'. Most retail trading education fits this definition (of traps) better. There are embedded interests, but if you really want to understand the market's plumbing, listening to Warrior Trading, imho, is not the best place to learn. Better to focus on exchange documentation, SEC filings, Quant Finance research papers, HFT job postings, etc. All that takes work, logical thinking and confronting their own biases; most are not up to the task: from "Evidence-Based Techincal Analysis" by David Aronson The Rise of the HFT Machines
I dont mean traps for individual traders I mean traders as a group Because we all learn from the same source And almost all of us are trained by same gurus and conditioned to act on certain triggers
