They fixed that in 06 up to current. The 05 C6's and earlier C5's had some trouble in the rear. That's why I would recommend if someone is going to look at Vettes, they go for 06-08. Preferably one that some very wealthy guy bought on a wekend, and traded Monday for another toy, allowing you to NOT take the hit from new to used. Give this guy a call: www.dpecorvettes.com His name is Perry. He will tell you all about the vette strong points and the weak points, and what needs fixed.
The Z06 and ZR1s are the best bang for your buck cars that can hang with or beat super-exotics, period. Of course, I would now have to put the Nissan GT-R up in that same bracket, too, at 70k. Power to the masses. It's all good.
