I haven't read good reviews about any Forex brokers

  1. Nope not me, I think you're confusing me with you, were you looking in a mirror when you typed that?

Not FXTrade (that's the live platform by the way), it's been fine all day here but it looks like your FXGame demo got disconnected though, never mind I hope you didn't lose any of your play money.

    Apparently not!

    Yep mine too

I'm sitting here watching it right now :D

Well it's going to be a busy one for sure, I'm going to a wedding tomorrow and having lunch with my in-laws on Sunday, but I guess it will all be happy, thanks :)

  2. That's because you don't understand the difference between the way live and demo platforms work, or the primary reason for their existence.

You're inexperience and naiivity are extremely apparent, save yourself any further embarrassment by educating yourself first before making bold statements and airing your ridiculous conspiracy theories or else you're likely to end up as confused and foolish-looking as IluvVol (if you aren't already!)

    Have a nice weekend :)

  4. "Their platform sucks!" - CABLETRADER

quote: "Oanda used to be a great marketmaker, now they're barely competitive! Spreads are sometimes ridiculous even in the most liquid market conditions, their java platform is quirky, connectivity is unreliable, slippage is out the wazoo at times, and customer service is worse than ever!

Professional traders are getting fed up and leaving, they won't stand for this garbage. If they don't get their act together soon Oanda are going to be left with demo kiddies and nickel&dime pocket-change wannabes. " (end quote)

Cabletrader is the last person to rate Oanda on ET and he says it sucks!

See the above excerpt from his review only 5 months ago!

He has become such an ass-licking shill for them now, I wonder what pictures of his deviant indiscretions they must possess :D

You are BURNED, you lying sack of crap.

  5. We're thinking of putting it on the big screen, a Forrest Gump type character as IluvVol obviously, me played by some wealthy suave handsome actor such as Pierce Brosnan. No-one wanted the embarrassment of playing Slapstick in case they risked being type-cast so he was written out unfortunately, killed off in the first scene.....it's a potential box office smash!

    We're looking for investors, interested?

  6. Awww Bless, more naiivity from Slapstick, it's great to see someone so willing to continually embarrass themselves in public!

5 months is a long time in this business, nearly as long as it takes the average newbie to go broke, brokers change, but the thing is I'm never reluctant to call it the way I see it. If an MM performs poorly I'll be the first one to shout about it and post screenshots and videos to support what I say like I did in this thread (unlike some people who just post opinion without any practical experience or anything tangible to support their outrageous claims!). So in the interest of fair play it's only right that I should shout just as loudly when they perform well and post some of my trading blotters to support what I say.

But thanks for reminding me, I must get round to writing another review.

Well I've got a wedding to go to, and if I don't get changed soon I'm going to be in the dog house

    Cheers, enjoy your weekend!

  8. It's not naive to call someone on their bullshit, which is what is happening to you right now. You are just incapable of the humility to realize it.

By the way, your other Oanda-bash thread started in January, I believe? That is only 2 months after your first awful review. So what miracle has taken place at Oanda to reverse this in a couple of months?

If you seriously think that your posted screenshots and thread links give you any credibility, you are sorely mistaken. There are fake reviews and manufactured "evidence" all over the web about everything.

I don't really believe that you work directly for them, but I do believe you are so neurotic and obsessed with being right that you appear to be that way.

I believe that you decided to stay there despite the obvious past limitations and are now trying so hard to justify it (why is beyond me) that you do indeed appear to rant like an angry shill about it.

I don't fault you for staying there if it is currently working for you. For example, I stayed at Tradestation live trading for a long time when others were complaining endlessly about bad data freezing, etc. because it never really happened to me. Until it did, then I left.

It would be much more honest of you to just admit that before you were having a lot of problems with Oanda but that lately it seems OK so you are still using it. Isn't this the truth?

Instead, you seem to be on some holy crusade to "prove" everyone wrong who doesn't agree with you.

    So let's just move on.

  9. Actually, your character would more likely be played by Paul Ruebens of Pee Wee Herman fame. :D

  10. Well you're certainly calling that's for sure but what you're saying is extremely naiive, the thing is you're not coming up with any sort of reasoned or logical argument let alone any evidence to support it, in fact apart from having a go at me I'm really not sure what you're trying to achieve with your comments. Did you lose money at Oanda or something, is that why you're so pissed at them? I'm really sorry about that but there's nothing I can do about it, it's not my fault.

I have no idea, perhaps you should ask Oanda. All I know is that the platform is stable, connection is good, fills are instant, spreads are very competitive, and slippage is minimal. I for one am happy with their performance, it really can't be faulted.

Well put it this way, ~30 trading blotters are better than what you've managed to come up with and they clearly support what I say, what other evidence would you like exactly, I'm here to please! But I'll tell you what, if what I say is so wrong then please post something to support your argument (whatever your argument actually is it's not clear, it seems you're obsessed with shooting the messenger rather than the message!)

lol, well no of course I don't, IluvVol was just trying to make a joke, did you think he was being serious?

Limitations? Not really limitations as such but as I've said numerous times they did have problems. Tell me, are you learning impaired or something because it's all in this thread, do you have difficulty understanding the written word?

Oh well I am relieved, that's great because I thought I was going to have to find a new broker, I mean your opinion is so important to me how would I have been able to stay trading at Oanda without your approval!

lol, well of course that's the truth, I've said exactly that a dozen times, you don't think I'm trading there because they still have problems do you? (Seriously, there's got to be something the matter with your comprehension, this isn't normal)

Ok let me explain it to you in tiny bites, now focus and you might understand....yes, Oanda had problems in the past. Yes, I posted about those problems. Yes, I posted screenshots and videos to support what I was saying about those problems. Oanda improved. Now they are back to being a decent MM. I posted the fact that they have improved and posted screenshots to support what I was saying. Now, is that simple enough for you to follow? Really, if that's not clear to you now then I just don't know another way to help you to understand, it's really not rocket science.

lol, you're really out there aren't you.

I have absolutely no problem if anyone wants to disagree with me that's fine, it's what discussion forums are all about. Hey maybe I'm wrong and maybe Oanda are still having problems and I haven't noticed so just put forward a reasonable argument and something to support it, that really shouldn't be such a hard job yet you seem unable to do it for some reason. Could it be that you don't actually have an argument to put forward?

You're not a hostage here you know, no-one is stopping you from moving on, this thread isn't compulsory reading and replying isn't mandatory, or didn't you realize that :D

Ah well, I guess it takes all sorts to make a world and I suppose I should be more tolerant of the impaired and less fortunate but I do think this is taking 'care in the community' just a little bit too far! Nevertheless it's an interesting insight into the other participants in this market and certainly goes some way to explaining the high failure rate.

You take it easy now Slaptot, that was an awful lot of information for you to take in in such a short space of time :)
