risk controls are the key. i think most get into trouble because of the amount of leverage available to them.
Yeah but I think they are all scalpers there so thats why i was asking Ivanovich who is not in that category i`m sure.
Scalpers probably notice it more, two or three pips on a 10 pip trade makes a lot of difference, plus longer term traders don't tend to use market orders so much. I've got to admit I admire Ivan for his patience and confidence in his trade, if that was me I would have taken profit on that spike up, probably even a while before that knowing me!
alex.samant You honestly think most of the traders in eurusd and usdjpy are multimillion dollar traders???? Hell no! Im not saying there aren't some really successful traders in those markets (somebody has to make the money lost) but remember trading is a game where 90% of the money is made by 10% of the players.........so where does that 10% get 90% of the profits from........guys like you who think they are really cool shit because they have their own online trading account and can roll with the "big boys" as you call them. Guys like you who probably constantly check quotes on your cell phone when friends and family are around so it makes them think you are a big wall street player now.......lol its so fucking funny! Grow up and get a life man.....you are just another piece of meat that is thrown to the sharks every single day you make a trade. Have a great day
Ivanovich, do you use 50% of you account size as a stop? or 50% per trade size? if it's the latter then what percentage of your account do you use per trade? Lastley, can you clairfy the margin you use 20:1? thanks in advance
What's so funny about someone trading Eur/Usd and Usd/Jpy? There's nothing wrong with trading the most liquid pairs with the cheapest overhead, in fact it makes perfect sense. Why pay 10 or 20 pip spreads on often excessively volatile thinly traded exotics? You may want to get more than a week's experience in the forex market under your belt before you start ripping into experienced traders like alex.samant, you're credibility is zero and coming out with stuff like that doesn't do much to improve it really Have a great day yourself!
