I love all the logical responses, what's great about the trading community is we are trained with logical analysis - such as the comment about statistical irrelevance. For every story like this how about the many stories of people who bought Luckin Coffee and lost all?
trading and logic don't mix. trading uses charts and charts only. The more traders use logic and reasoning and rationalizing, the more $$$$$ they lose.
%% POSSIBLE+ THAT WOULD SOLVE a lot of the US/UK governments pension problems[social security its called in US] And solve a lot of the crowded hospital problems, in US. Looks like big pharma has good lobby lawyers. US + DR Rand Paul told fake Faucci to his face ''In Kentucky, the flu has been much worse than the virus''.......................................................................................................
i think you maybe onto something....kill the olds so the US government doesn't have to pay social security.
Weekly Deaths on this wave upto 1st Jan 2021 are completely typical in the UK if not even down slightly, thankfully very very low Flu deaths this year, yeah we believe you. Theory ages back, they found a upcoming Flu strain that's about to do the rounds then over hyped it, why all the Flu deaths are registering a Covid this year and Flu is very low, lockdowns don't work against flu!
Agree I use charts and logic. But at same time don't discount those who use logic and whatever else that works, besides charts.
I think investing and trading are the two sides of the same coin. An investor can be a trader and vice versa. Some trades also use the long term strategy along with short term strategies.
I agree with you Peter, but for long term strategies the ROI takes a very long time. It's not possible to gain some substantial amount of money even after a year or two. Strategies used and trading techniques, everything is different.
It's the same situation with me. I am also an active day trader in the forex market and have invested in ETFs for the long term option. I have seen that when you are investing in distinctly different markets, the parameters and strategies change considerably. For example, I need very low spreads for trading currencies so I always use low cost brokers like XTB, Fxview but for the range of ETFs which I require, I go with IG. So it is not difficult to handle multiple brokers because long term investment is passive. If our research is solid then we don’t have to manage the long term funds actively.
