I do not want to be perceived as attacking anyone here, but it looks to me that Jack was right. If one had bought HOV instead of NFI, then they would be ahead. Also, I think Jack has done a great job of trying to explain his trades and intelligently comment on others (namely Mr. Market's) systems. I am a real newbie at TA and so I try to stick to simple analysis, but FWIW it does look like NFI is loosing steam a bit, volume is kinda weak today. Nevertheless, it is up and that is better than I could do Great thread though, very fun to read!
What's really interesting is how all of you expert traders sit back and comment on my performance, and none of you are willing to make any market call or singular stock pick. Trading statements? I have a better idea. Let's all post copies of our undergraduate and graduate degrees.
OK ...I have to admit, Im defending the big hairy guy here.... He is not selling......yet....I asked him for a pick and he gave it...It went up a couple of points and while Jack Keeps it simple, all he is doing is "analyzing" and talking about fluff.....the bottom line is it went up a couple points from where he recommended...is that wrong? On a side note: Jack, you are very condescending for somebody who will not answer a simple question....are you a politician? Anyone can analyze and not take a stand and if you are saying you wouldn't buy nor short this stock because its not your type, then you are about as worthwhile as tits on a bull....
incorrect..all of my stock picks are time stamped, documented and archived in this Yahoo Message Group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mrmarketishuge/
yes, that would be fun indeed!! - but the money's just not there. Picture this: A fine slab of medium rare filet mignon, a hunk of smoked gouda, and you and your... uhhhh.... "followers" all sprawled out on a genuine mr. market suirrel skin rug just kick'in back talking about stocks!! ... I'm in!!
Jack on your last posted chart comparing HOV and NFI, you have a few acronyms that I am not familiar with. Is VDU = volume drying up? Thanks
It wasn't a question of whether or not you were clear. The point I made was that, as you've offered the number of members to your free site at yahoo as some sort of significance, I made mention that those numbers may not reflect current active members, just a tally of all subscriptions to date active or otherwise, and further, that because membership on your site was free, and of not much content trading wise, that perhaps the membership numbers would be smaller if people had to pay for membership. I was reasoning that if people truly felt that what you offered was more valuable to them than the dollars in their pocket, that would be a more signficant measure of how attractive your stock analysis is to other people than counting free memberships. You responded by not answering the question, but by twisting it around and saying that you had nothing to sell. I offered that, contrary to what you say, you appear to be selling, though not in a monetary way, your self-exaltation, evidenced by your continued doing so. Now you avoid the point posed to you again by acting as if I'm dense and that the problem is in my not understanding your answers, rather than in you're not answering them. These tactics: 1. Avoid answering the question. 2. Put down the questioner. whether you realize you're engaged in them or not, are classicly used when there can be no good answer.
