I Have Done It Again

  1. First of all...the quote below is an exerpt from your first statement in this thread.

Knowing that, why would you even entertain the thought of wanting to prove to some stranger you were a trader.

Look at this from the analogy of being an alcoholic in which you easily lose control.

Some people know when they've had one too many drinks while others just can't stop while others are more impaired even though they drank the exact same amount as every one else.

My point, in many ways you have a drinking problem and because of such you shouldn't be hanging out at trading forums nor involved in any aspect of trading.

Further, any trader that sits down with you to discuss trading, should be ashamed because they are essentially giving you another drink.

Its safe to assume your psychologist does not know your hanging out at trading forums.

Thus, your sabotaging any professional therapy you are getting.

Now leave ET so you can spend all your time and energy in repairing the damage you've done in your personal life.

Simply, your presence at ET implies you just don't get it and probably will not get it until you've completely destroyed your personal life.

  2. Hi Mark,

I have ponder about that so many times. I mean, I don't speculate on horses, or casino (never in one) don't do any lottery and Trading is like every 2-3 years or so, when I have enough. And I wonder, just like everyone else....just want to be able to trade and make a living from it.

I know of a man, that he lost his marriage and his family beacuse of trading, 15 years going at it and always losing. Then one year, having enough to buy some options on Cocoa everything slowly turned around for him. That was 9 years ago, and you know what? For 9 years straight he has consistently made a low 6 figure income, year after year.

He knows about my situation, we talk now and then, but from one trader to another trader, you have to make it on your own.

Am I trying to prove something, that I am correct....nahh, I have my job, my life is in control, and if I have the opportunity to trade again in my life, I would not day trade for a living. Only long term trade, like it was back in 1993.

    Happy Trading to all

  6. eh, if you don't like day trading, you can do night trading: trade Hong Kong market from 7pm to 2am.

Statistics showed that 99% of day traders lost money, but I have never seen any statistics about night traders. Hopefully, a higher percentage of night traders make money.

If 50% of night traders make money, I will shift from day trading to night trading. I like trading Hong Kong market (it's China, right? Now, where was that earthquake again?)
