Anyone has any idea on the closest competition regarding low day trading margins?

I can't seem to find any.

    I don't like Ninjas platform :D.

All other seem to require 50% of initial unless you are a QEP.

Not that i am currently looking to move brokers or am anything near Balckagroop his account size, it is still interesting to know the different options out there.

    Not to many apparently.

Who's really the one that's being dishonest here? The irony in this statement that is lost to AMP is frankly hilarious.

Multiple times in this thread, you've made it a point to emphasize "ALL OF OUR CUSTOMERS WITH ACCOUNT BALANCES EXCEEDING $100K ARE TRADING ON THESE MARGINS" without mentioning any caveats and apparently Daniel M. who is a higher-up in AMP reassured the OP that there were no special conditions attached to $800/contract ES margin requirement even for very high account balances like OP's.

But the reality is, once you're over a certain account balance, you impose position limits. Now I'm not saying AMP imposing position limits is unreasonable; in fact, I'd be more surprised if you didn't, given the small size of your firm.

It's the lack of transparency that's off-putting people. You can't keep spamming "DayTrading margins are twice the displayed amount for account balances exceeding $100K. ALL of our customers with Account Balances exceeding $100K are trading on these margins." while conveniently withholding the fact that certain exceptions are applied once your account balance is over a certain amount. It's certainly suspicious that these caveats weren't disclosed to the OP prior to him depositing money.

But the final nail in the coffin that's really making people in this thread contemplate running the fuck away from AMP is the fact that you essentially gave the OP $10,000/contract ES day-margins (300 position limit on a 3MM account balance). What kind of joke is this?

Yes I understand as a small firm, you need to impose position limits but you're basically giving the OP lower day-margins than even prime brokers like JPM (and, not to mention, all of your direct competitors like Ninjatrader brokerage, TD ameritrade, etc). And you still have the gall to claim that we ET users are the ones being dishonest and misleading about your margin requirements?

Inb4 Baron locks this thread for shitting on a ET sponsor, like he did with the other recent one last week lol

  5. Wow, my messages are being edited by moderators, people who are disagreeing with AMPs misleading info and their leaking private emails are having their accounts and entire post history deleted here. Just from responding negatively on this one thread.

There is nothing really left to be said. If you don't understand how the ACTUAL sequence of events translated to legitimate accusations of dishonesty then in my opinion that's worse than dishonesty, basic incompetence.

Also, you really shouldn't have posted the private email communications between broker and client onto a public message board without permission. I have filed a complaint with the CFTC and the NFA. That is a clear-cut reg violation and I hope you receive a fine. Such unprofessional people, and seemingly idiots as well.

Of course ET is likely to edit or delete this comment as well, so I have saved and printed this entire thread in PDF format for future use (though I wouldn't put it past you to keep this one up to 'prove me wrong').

This is a reaction of the closed thread "Amp, how could you?"

There is a delibarate action to put AMP in a negative light.
I know that there is a hostile attitude againt this trading firm.
I really don't know for what reason (envy?)

Are they a bit rude? They do not answer quickly by phone?
What I really know is that I have found the best broker around the futures business
    At least for me.

    Lowest rates
Low day trading margins to accommodate futures traders
    Good platforms
    Great data feed

Thank you. Yes, agreed. We might never know the full intent of this thread...but at least it was sorted before this customer placed the 1st trade.

Thank you @RDK91 for your suggestion. We have added this simple text to our margins disclaimer. https://www.ampfutures.com/trading-info/margins/

Note: DayTrading margins are twice the displayed amount for account balances exceeding $100K.
Based on all risk factors, Top Level Risk Limits such as Max. Contract Size, may be applied when deemed necessary.

For all of our Customers, as you can see, we take risk management seriously. We are not going to ignore High Risk Alerts, regardless of an account size.

one more suggestion, if i may:

    hire competent social media/pr personnel

airing your dirty laundry in a public forum and posting internal client communications are not benefiting you in any way

good pr is worth every penny

    cheers
