I thought as much, but lets see what others come up with?

The blow off that S21 refers to is a failed breakout.

I have seen that abbreviation used for Bearish or Bullish Outside Bars, though if that is the definition you are looking for, Brooks doesn't use that acronym for outside bars, though has several pages on outside bars, covered the most broadly in his "trends" book.

In case anyone is interested, here is a list of acronyms used in his end of day analysis, and to some extent, in his books.

No, when one can see a BOB for what it is, not only will it save you money, but also make you money.

As with all trading, there are no guarantees, but can you change the odds based on what you see, and more importantly, what you do when you see what you see - the answer is YES.

he has a lot of B's there, but no sign of uncle BOB :)

This is the most challenging aspect of trading to me right now...still occasionally refusing to see or believe what I see. I will often forget to look at what is in front of my eyes right now, including context. That's one of the best ways to become...trapped (I often think of the term trapped when I think of outside bars:)...in the proper context of course, like a reversal). Sometimes it's me!!!

Ah i see you're intimately familiar with pharmaceutical studies. The vast majority of them remove the subjects who aren't fitting the models of desired outcome early in the process. The outcomes are sculpted and the true study results are tucked away.

Is Al Brooks better...does Brooks show or write about how he has lost five, even ten trades in a row... such an event is determined to happen in a stochastic process such as day trading with stops placed closely above or below the ES futures market's average true range.

Uncle BOB is not one little bit concerned with the way you are thinking, so maybe you should do what he does!

I would say that it all depends on what exactly u are trying to achieve, so maybe, just maybe, you are not fully focused on your target and are leaving a bit of hope and wishing creep in, which of course will not help u one little bit if u are visiting madam guillotine, or some of her acquaintces.

If a bar is outside, and you are inside, what do you do if next bar inside and next bar outside - would you go outside, or stay inside :)
