I sure hate to sound like I am being less than supportive here....but if you can't make a buck in this market, you need to seriously consider doing something else with your time and money. I can't recall when there has been a better trading environment. On a long-term basis we are still at relatively low price levels. There is very strong support for gaps and weakness, and no major problems on the horizon. It doesn't get much better than this.

Actually I think valuations are quite high relative to growth potential. But I look mainly short term and think I'll make more money shorting in the near term. Maybe I'm just a contrarian ... but it seems we're overbought

Hey if you can't make money over an extended period of time figure out why you can't and develop a different style that works. Or like some has said, trade something else if what your trading isn't working. Complaining or saying you hate something gets you no where.

Good post ... I did something similar and now trade QQQ and SPY 80% of the time. And it isn't rocket science to make money trading the above ...

Rocket science it certainly is not! I honestly dont even read the news anymore...just make sure I know when the key economic reports are released. If it`s going up I buy it...if it`s going down I sell it.....just that simple..aaahhhhhhh

  10. I hate trading and at least I did the introspection to say I do.

I don't give a shit if You guys can call a wimp or a pussy..

You can tell me how much you LOVE and ENJOY trading

    after a 2 year 49.5% drawdown..

    on your 26 consecctive whipsaw...

I would go so far to say that if you enjoy the process of trading, y

    ou are NOT trading correctly.

Trading is all about enduring pain and perserverance...

Think about this..why do you need discipline at all?

it's human nature to aviod pain and run

from adversity, and discipline is about embracing the pain

by taking small loss and admitting you are wrong and keeping

    the faith during a drawdown...

I don't think there is anything enjoyable about that...

I do trade for living and would consider myself quite successful at

it, I am even going to manage a few accounts soon..

Trading is just a job like any other, and most people I know hate

their jobs too...I am not any different from them..

    why should you be ?????
