“I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.” Jack London
I think the doc was being sympathetic to your situation and politely misdiagnosed your Kidney Stones for Gerbil gone wild. Morphine trip skewed your reality.
What ever the hell they were, the morphine didn’t help. How have you kept your many gerbil experiences painless? Asking for a friend.
I went to urgency care the other day (a Friday) in pain. They were closing but had mercy on me and let me in. They figured it was kidney stones. Gave me some kind of shot for pain and pain pills and antibiotics. I didn't think kidney stones but I thought it was a UTI. The antibiotics helped so it must have been a UTI. They did a CAT scan later at the hospital but it came back ok. I have heard that kidney stones produce some of the worst pain there is. I think there is a difference between renal colic and kidney stones?
