What you want to do is go to the sites mentioned here, monster.com, careerbuilder.com, etc. and find the firms posting the help wanted ads. Some will be employers themselves and some will be contracting firms. Submit resumes to employers. Call the contracting firms to develop a relationship with them. A contract position can often lead into a permanent position. Or, if you are entrepreneurially inclined, a career consisting solely of contracting can be much more profitable and rewarding than a permanent position and you never end up in the position you are now again. This is what I did in my IT days (OK, way back then, there was no monster.com or internet, just newspapers help wanted ads, but the principal was still the same. )
I think the best job search engine is indeed.com. Looking at these jobs has got me interested to applying for some of them. http://www.indeed.com/jobs?q=trading+systems&l=new+york&sort=
You could try signing up for the freelancing sites out there to get some good paying work. Try: http://www.programmingbids.com/ http://www.scriptlance.com/ http://www.elance.com Where I'm from, the government has a job bank listing on their website, it's suprisingly robust, and full of good job openings... Do you have something like that in your area? You could try emailing some of the developers of the kind of software you're looking to develop, they might be able to point you in the right direction.
Hi My girlfriend got laid by someone else today. I have 10 years experience of jacking myself off plus trawling umpteen porn websites. My passion is being a second rate loser. If you know of any office stiffs who will take me on as a proven drift, let me know. I live in my own narrow micronism. Thanks in advance. Comatose
