If you are able to get that before he can potentially lose it, then it's even better for you.
You can check it with small amount, if works, again some tryouts with small amount. Or risk to make more... your choice.

But there is also one thing, if it works like you said, you need to give him capital after he loses, because otherwise you can give him your money just before his "losing" streak. Right ?

I also don't think there is sense to look for more confirmation or denying from us here, that's your money and the responsibility must be yours. And you are the person that knows best about how your friend operates.

Good luck ! It will be interesting experience for sure !

  2. as far as getting back to it before he loses it seems
Manageable, his day consists of 4-8 trades aporox, he isnt a scalper who places tons of
Trades or swing trader like me who places maybe a trade a day,

his trend seems to be he is most up middle of his trades, 4th or 5th trade approx thats when i would say no more trades on my account for the day

elaborate on second paragraph i dont understand, if your referring to him losing money he is not losing money or making money at large his 25k account end of month ends up plus minus 4k this is been the case for a year plus

  3. Its definitely not confirming or denying from
Any one here, hell, its amazing how many answers i got to questions i didnt even ask in the post,
Its posting to see if any one has hd a similar experience or a phase of such, i personally went through his phase opposite way, many times i lost big, big defined as in relation to the account and many times managed to get it back, sometimes not at all but never managed to make a large gain and give it back, because i obviously didnt make it to give it back, i sort of recognize the phase he is going through with him being new to the game in terms of time, as compared to myself of course where the comparison is drawn, both psychologically and financially, thus as with my past self i always used to say what if i can get into the trade the one way after my losses as in the gain without the loss for me, i never managed to do so,

hence with him i believe i can manage to ride the gainful trade, stop the losing trade and hopefully with that he will see that HIS results partially are profitable based on my account size and be able to get rid of his bad trades that follow the gainers

  4. put it this way, if he is me in the past, always suffering the loss first lets say then recovering it, i would look for him to trade the second half, as in start trading after the losing trades to ride it back up, but he isnt, he gains first, then he loses, all within the day

you are right it is an experiment i will most likely do the same size as his account to not alter his emtouom i believe the key here is he trades how he usually does and no changes to his psyche, even when i would be on with him physically or virtually i will probably be casper on purpose to make sure iam not affecting him in any sense whatsoever, the only thing i would watch is the balance on my account to simply say stop, thats literally how i would run through this because i dont know shit of his style nor do i care about it nor do i wanna do it i just want half of its results, the winning half

How were in the same house with him on about 20 occasions when he made those profits and I'm assuming you were also there in the same house when he lost those profits ???

You then pulled up a chair and then told him to bank the profits but he refused to only then lose his profits ???

Your plan is to continue watching him in person for clues or you have your own clues that he's about to begin losing the profits...

You will then remove your profits and then let him continue trading but you're hoping that when he sees that you've removed your profits...it will be a learning lesson for him to do the same and/or stop trading for the day ???

Yeah, I've personally seen this happen before when I traded in an office with several other traders. Its extremely difficult to do unless your sole purpose to be in the office is to protect your profits and do nothing else via physically sitting side by side with him or you're monitoring his trades from your own computer in which you have the ability to remove your profits before he can place another trade.

    It doesn't work.

Yet, don't listen to me. Try it with a very small amount and get back with us later to explain why it didn't work for you. I feel sorry for the friendship...it will be a valuable lesson for you too.

    Could be several things....

His method is pretty much break even, big runs up and then gives it back, just wild swings between, no way to know when it'll be a profit or a loss.

    Or

He makes good money, gets over confident / greedy then makes stupid trades trying to become rich. Then gets his ass kicked then becomes humble and then well repeat endlessly. ( ME! )

I take out profits over my base 25K for him, daily, always add them back to account if you get a bad day, stops the over trading.

Ever get the feeling everyone in the entire world is autistic and random crap goes into there head you've never even typed, because autistic people think everything is a LIE and don't actually understand anything.

    * And take everything overly literally and to the extreme!!

His back, and those occasions i happen to be with him or over the phone the whole
Time it isnt for trading its for totally non related stuff yet that happens to be the trend of the day

    u truly dazzle
    Me
How little your able to comprehend whats written and u pick on shit that wasnt said

    my
Plan is in my other post, read them
My plan is just to say stop when my balance is gone larger, he seems to stop on his own if the day started on a losing note

Try it...I don't need to say anything else. You need to learn the hard way.

    Good luck with your scheme.

Reminder, I've traded in an office with others that have tried this. It didn't work and you did ask if anyone here has personal experience with this.

Now that you found someone with personal experience (I have about 6 years of trading in the same office with traders trying to do exactly what you've explained)...you don't like the result from my personal experience and start talking crap in your replies. :D  :vomit:

  10. well, you didnt say that, you went on shit talking also and challenging, if you dont believe me, its ok, you dont have too, move on, much respect still, but dont come at me interrogating and doubting as if its omg please believe me, lets keep it cool eh?

And sure, if i lose, i learned my lesson, as i said in previous posts, the phase he is going through mimics a phase i went through, psychological and financially, if i can dissect it, perhaps could be something out of it, i believe it will be easier to dissect it with him, than on myself since its easier to see another person than your self, specially when his style is drastically different than mine, meaning i wont have emotions invested into any of his trades
