Those thoughts have cost me more money than I care to even think about. I still have trouble after all these years keeping away from taking trades when the market starts to move one way because I'm afraid I'm going to miss out on a nice move. My strategy calls for low risk entries and many times I'll miss the entry, then the market will move that way, and then I jump in after say a 7tick move in the ER only to have the market come back and stop me out. and when this happens I lose much more than I would have had I gotten in at the proper entry. And when I do these trades and it works out well, well that only reinforces the bad trading behavior and for every 1 that goes my way, there will be 3 or 4 that do not. Its a hard habit to break but hopefully I will soon.
