Nitro et. al. Seriously, if I start with one contract, how do we compare performance? Return on investment? For the day?
nitro, Sounds simple enough. Alright, I'm going to go watch the rest of LOTR. I am pooped and my head is spinning from reading too many posts. Sleep well everyone and no hard feelings. Hope everyone kicks ass tomorrow.
nitro and commisso, please read my 2 posts conflict thread. i want to know what you 2 posted that got deleted? wtf!!!!!!!!?
Nothing in the universe is truly random. If it was there would be no such thing as cause and effect. People are confusing chaos (the concept of no order, no seeming cause and effect) with chaotic systems. A chaotic system will exhibit trending behavior for periods and non trending behavior for periods. There is no set or predictable pattern to these two primary characteristics. We just know that both will occur at some time. A chaotic period on a daily time frame may have poor trending characteristics, while the 5 minute time frame within that daily time frame exhibits excellent trending characteristics and visa versa. So trending and non-trending patterns are right there everyday simultaneously, you just have to adjust your time frame to find them. As most people operate in only one time frame. They only recognize trends within that time frame. A coin flip may be random, but that doesn't stop 100 heads landing in a row. Across an infinite number of flips, 100 heads in a row will at some point occur. If you were a betting man, would you bet against heads after 50 straight heads, or with the trend. Logic says one thing, but emotion says the opposite. In chaos lies order, in order lies chaos. These are one and the same. One cannot exist without the other. We can never know if a trend is the result of a cause, or simply a series of random coincidences. All we can do is build a trading system that profits from that trend. Everything else is just not worth thinking about. Runningbear
