Because going per region is asinine. I get that Americans see 3rd worlders as subhuman and feel entitled to using more energy than other fellow human beings so I can see how it would make sense in your head to blame a billion people rather than the individual.

Back in the real world where sane people can agree that every human has a right to live with some dignity, there is a baseline carbon footprint just for existing; it's the extra luxuries in the 1st world that drive up our per capita share. Yes, eating meat every day and having climate controlled rooms is a luxury that many people elsewhere do without.

Dude, if America is the economic powerhouse don't you think it's common sense to use more energy per capita than a third world country that has nothing?

No, supply & demand allows us to become energy leaders because we are among the top in energy demand. We could curve that demand and export more of our energy to keep supply & that leadership going.

The only legitimate argument the western countries have going for them to use more energy per capita are the seasonal needs requiring them to burn hydrocarbons (winter). 3rd worlders just wear extra clothes and use extra blankets.

So you are saying Americans use more energy per capita because they burn hydrocarbons during winter and not because they are the economic powerhouse.

3rd world people who use blankets will also use hydrocarbons if they are rich. They don't care about the climate change.

How about the reason being that the West developed these amenities.

Would 3 worlders be happier if we didn't haave them either? Kind of covers 3 of the seven deadly sins. Sloth, envy and wrath on their part.

No, I'm saying using higher energy than average per capita is justifiable to avoid hypothermia.

Making the meme that Greta should target third worlders doubly stupid. Why target an audience who can't be bothered about climate change when they got more immediate things to contend like fending off starvation or avoiding armed conflict?

Targeting 1st worlders who choose to illuminate the exterior of their homes at night, keep rooms warm that they never use, or can afford solar panels is the obvious choice.

Ohhh so now the mask is starting to come off. Its really not about trying to stop climate change, its about sticking it to the rich people in the 1st world. Why dont you just say that, because that is what you really want.

Here4money is unhappy with his status in life so instead of working to improve himself, he demands central governments tear down people with more than him. This is somehow satisfying to himself and countless other losers. Its the reason him and his clan hate Trump so much. Trump represents the extreme top of the pyramid and Trump is not afraid to show it off.
