Call some box maker who is online, or visit a local clone shop. They might not have the mobo or CPU in stock, but they're still available.

  3. I am going to just sit on this and think for a while, it will all come to me thanks for the help...

Maybe when the 64 bit OS gets out of Beta...in November or December I will do something...

Then Intel will be going balls out and confusing me...Screw this...

  5. Electric, do yourself a favor and just try loading linux in for a whirl. I recently tried the Suse version and I was very impressed by how easy it was to install and maintain. Totally painless! The features, and the totally customizable configurations, of a KDE desktop blows, I mean blows Windows away. Plus don't forget the 10,000+ OpenSource applications that are available for free.

After running pure (64bit btw) linux/opensource for over a year now, I had to mess around with my friends Windows box last week, and I couldn't believe how poor Windows is compared to a Linux/kde/opensource software environment.

Anybody that is un-aware, do yourself a favor and give it a try. If you decide to, PM me and I'll walk you through it to make it even more painless. Trust me, It's very much worth it.

BTW, Already have Windows and files on your box and you want to keep it that way...

    no problem...

You can very easily have both and choose which one you want to use at start up.

  7. I bought a Used Dell 8250 from a Trader friend for $350....

2.6 GHZ, w/XP pro, and a Nvidia FX 5200 Dual Monitor Card. 512mb Rambus Ram. Onboard sound and built in LAN.

    Keyboard, Manual and Mouse...

Cash (traders won't take checks) & Complete out the door including tax and delivery...But we will drink a few root beers when he gets here and try to convince each other that we know how to trade....
