Now that case...they are all ugly in my opinion...sorry I just am not a gamer...but aluminum is a good thing...most of them have a temp display I think to see the pictures you must click on the line item I am calling Cyber on Monday with my changes... Any cases you like gentleman....? If you had to pick one ...which one would it be and why? there was a rounded corner red one there...it looked like an enema...
the Cool Master tech 101 in blue shiny alluminum ---it looks good. And thanks guys for the Ram advice. 2% is hardly an improvement worth the money IMO. On these dual core AMD deals what exactly is the performance improvement?? over a traditional Athlon chip---Is it better for multitasking? Is there any type of programs that will not run on it?
According to web articles, tests have indicated "significant" improvement in multi-tasking. However, we're seeing just the first incantation of dual/multiple core. They will get better as will the chipsets. It's the coming thing in CPUs. And while AMD has been kickin' Intel's butt lately, a recent article indicated the new Conroe dualcore from Intel performed 15-30% better than the AMD X2s. The way I see it... there are major evolutionary changes going on right now in PCs... Vista, PCIE, BTX, dual/milti-core CPUs and their chipsets, flash memory to replace mechanical hard drives. By the time Vista SP2 is out, all of these things will have matured a bit; that seems like it would be a good time to go for the new technologies.... about 3 years. But who among us can wait for all that?
ES, I know the 970Ps look sharp, but I bought three 940Ts about a month ago and am very satisfied. 1000:1 contrast ratio, $325 all-in at Newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824001069
I am committed to 970 p's my monitors must match...!!!that red enema case...what do you think? http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1760
Just my humble opinion, but I wouldn't get red unless I saw it in person first...shades of red can be all over the map. I'd prefer blue or silver myself. FWIW, purple is my favorite color...by FAR, so I ordered a "purple" case a few years ago off the web. Checked several different sites and it looked like "my" shade of purple. Opened the box and it looked maroon to me. I disliked the color so much I immediately sold it on eBay.
