  2. What's the Antec PS? Is that redundancy of some sort?

  3. The dual core needs a minimum of a 500 watt power supply and it did not default with one...I got a name brand instead of the recommended generic...

  4. antec power supply

    it suppose to be quiet

  5. They must build this configuration and if there are any changes necessary please advise...I will get the finished product by the end of the month...

  6. I just took a quick look. I built a rig with a Raptor 74GB drive recently, but I also have an external USB 2.0 200GB drive. Are you sure that all you want is that 36 GB drive? I know that wouldn't be enough storage for me. Maybe you're planning on using this as a dedicated trading computer. Even then, is that enough for you? You can get one of the new Raptor 150 GB drives, very nice, also 10K RPM.

Sorry if I missed another drive somewhere in your part sheet.

Also, that SLI board is the must have for gamers, but unless you are planning on running more than 4 monitors, you may be able to save a few bucks and get the non-SLI version (unless you are into gaming). Someone can correct me if there is some compelling reason to go SLI that I am not aware of. In my research, I determined that gaming-type graphics capabilities are generally not needed for or even utilizable by trading apps.

  7. If I knew what the @#$% you were talking about, I assume I would be happy for you LOL.

I use a Radio Shack TRS-80 to trade and have had no complaints!

    :D

    A. You'll soon have the latest in high-tech market gadgetry...

    B. You'll have your finger on the pulse of the markets...

    C. Bankruptcy at the speed of light!

  9. It's nice to have a latest computer. Why do you need a Raptor hard drive? A 7200 rpm drive may be quieter and cooler. I think everything is loaded into memory in real time trading. HD speed is not important.
I'm more concerned about noise. I'd choose fanless mother board and video card.

  10. Good info...I will bring it up...thanks!

I do not need more hard drive as this is a dedicated trading computer on Cable where my other trading computer is on dsl...

The other two computers I use to surf the internet, manage the printer and email...
