No, it's a dedicated Street Fighter II console. My other machine is the MAME: I know my amateur photography makes it hard to see, but can anyone name the game displayed above?
That's a cool game, I remember that one well. Right up there with Skate or Die! Oh well I can't get one, spend to much time on the computer as it is!
What are you kidding me? Of course thats Rastan, one of my all time favorites. Love the sound effects. Now what do I win?
Rastan is correct! The music is indeed incredible, especially for a mid-80's game. The machine plays another few thousand games as well. You'd be very hard pressed to come up with the name of any 1970's through mid-90's arcade game that my MAME system doesn't play. It was $5,500 well spent. You win a few hours on my MAME, plus a personally administered Street Fighter II ass-kicking. I'm about an hour's drive from Chicago.
i'm from illinois, but not there now. If i ever get to trading in chicago, I have no choice but to accept your proposal. There are only 2 games in my life where I didn't feel bad saying i was better than everyone I met: super tennis and sfII. If we went no "jump, tap tap tap, throw," no timer, we'd have a showdown. (we could do the jump, tap tap tap, throw, but then tempers flare. Remember making up rules like that between friends? I didn't mind so much, but folks thougt it was a bit cheap. And then after somebody implemented that rule, you'd just use some little bastard like chun li, always stay close, and then just walk up to them and throw them because they were crouching so much. and then people got really mad. Especially in the arcade with the whole quarter waiting system...i got stared down a couple times with the guile glitches...but hey, i was like 12...but more than a decade later, i'd probably still do it if they had sfii in the arcades. hehe ah those were fun times.
But, his name is Guile!
