  1. "a comprehensive study of the question by Amsterdam economist Gerwin Griffioen concludes that: "for the U.S., Japanese and most Western European stock market indices the recursive out-of-sample forecasting procedure does not show to be profitable, after implementing little transaction costs. Moreover, for sufficiently high transaction costs it is found, by estimating CAPMs, that technical trading shows no statistically significant risk-corrected out-of-sample forecasting power for almost all of the stock market indices."

These are particularly applicable to "momentum strategies"; a comprehensive 1996 review of the data and studies concluded that even small transaction costs would lead to an inability to capture any excess from such strategies."

    Your serve.

You know it makes me laugh when people say TA doesn't work full stop, as an example I will submit for people that deny probability studies by attaching this image from Bloomberg, this poll was done when crude traded around $88, now these analysts most likely use fundamental research plus proprietary technical studies. Have a look at the ratio. Basically, next week the majority of those analysts were hit with a breakout. I, on the other hand, retail analyst extraordinaire...........NOT! (LOL) that subscribes to common TA studies have decided to join minority vote in that poll & also posted it, though not on beloved Bloomy but on our ET. It must have been luck :)

When you take the time to study the evidence (physics, logistics, motive, outcomes) it all points to carefully planned professional job. Bush's administration unlikely planned it, but they were clearly complicit and to and facilitated the media and political fallout. You shouldn't really be all that surprised, afterall, it's now officially recognised that the U.S government was complicit in Pearl Harbour , standing back with prior knowlede, allowing it to happen to stir up enough patriotism and anger back home to join the war. Why be so shocked that U.S uses false flag attacks to get into wars ... when they have such a history of doint exactly that.

As for T.A. ... come on, T.A is only a tool, which in the hands of a successful trader can be used to create an edge. Just like fundamentals can be used to create an edge by a successful trader.
