Status page still says everything is totally fine. Has something bigger happened? Did the entire company just walk out or something? Feels that way.
IB REP / Sponsor for this forum - Give us an update. NOW. This is ridiculous. Most people understand that sometimes things happen, but simply shutting off coms is unacceptable. LEGAL ACTION?
this link says everything is normal: https://www.interactivebrokers.com/cgi-bin/conn_test.pl but I can not log in.
I keep a few thou in a Robinhood account, jic IB goes down or in case I want to buy commission free OTM options. I'm not really exposed in IB (I'm long a few mid-Jan ES put spreads) but I wanted to add, so I tried logging in to RH. They're down, too!
IB is totally hosed. I am locked out completely. Funny thing, but my Alpaca account is still accessible. ALPACA! A fly by night outfit like Alpaca can do what Interactive Brokers can't do, with is give me access to my portfolio and my cash. Period of high volatility MY ASS. That's when I MOST need to be able to access my account. This is unacceptable. I just talked to some barely understandable Indian guy who says he can't access the tools to unlock my account, which is locked due to excessive attempts to log in. Before that they were saying TMobile was preventing me from logging in. My dog ate my homework. Not my fault. Etc etc. I am so thoroughly pissed. This is unacceptable. Their two factor authentication is a really stupid idea. But guess what? I can't even close my account and put my money somewhere better! That's my rant. Did it make me feel better? Not even a little bit. <looking for a cat to kick>
