That's a ridiculous argument. Algo trading is such a tiny tiny scalper. It doesn't truly harm retail traders. That's like complaining your state's sales tax should be higher or lower by .09%
If your margins are that slim you're doing it wrong. Expand your horizons and understanding approach

Trust me when I say that you should be glad it's there..

 

If you're worried about being manipulated, consider trading index futures.

Much more market-maker and broker manipulation plus insider trading in stocks.
