No offense, but I don't think you can speak for the majority of black people based on a narrow part of one issue. I'm of the belief that black people aren't single issue voters with criminal justice being that one issue. One of my black friends is actually against me, because I'm too anti-gun. I would ask black people, has Biden done enough to promote equal opportunities for black people to succeed?
Without money or recognition from the party you will not get far in the process to be honest... Overlooking those two obvious points might make many question your judgement
I realize those two things. I realize I'm the longest of longshots. However, I find this much more fun/interesting than going to the boat, beach, or bar like most people my age do in this town. I also do see this as the clearest path to bring drastic change to society in the shortest amount of time. Chances are it will be futile and I'm not going to spend a lot of my own money on it right now, but it's kind of like when most people buy a Mega Millions ticket...there's a chance!
No offense,but if you know politics just a little you know what ticks black voters off quite easily.The only justice blacks get from police brutality is the legal settlements from the cities,and your position is they should not get that.Thats probably worst than Bloombergs prior support for stop and frisk,which multiple apologies and a billion dollars spent couldn't fix.Black voters may not be single issue voters but there are single issues that will guarantee you will not get their support,and yours is one of them. As far as Biden,they are pissed with him now.Prior to the election he had their support because he was Obamas loyal #2 man and lied to them and told them he would fight for police reform. Quick fact.Since 1990 the democrat candidate who got the plurality of the black vote won the democrat nomination. Bidens campaign was nearly dead before black voters started voting.After they started voting he won the nomination in 2 weeks IIRC.Unless they are running for other reasons democrat candidates who have no chance at the plurality of the black vote are wasting their time.I assume you are in that group who are running for other reasons.
Its probably a mistake as it makes you look a pillock to say its even a mega millions type of a chance. Its no chance whatever but it is something you can say to amuse yourself, "I ran for president to get a sense of the process and hurdles".
My situation is completely unique from everybody else who's run. I have no way to accurately measure my probability and neither do you. That said, I admit there are clear barriers not the least of which is that I don't have tons of my own money to spend and 99.9999% of the population has no clue who I am. I'm impressed with how far Yang got in the process though. I understand many people will think I'm crazy, but I think running for president is completely rational/logical given the alternative ways to spend my time.
