LOL. Once we get the room set up for the open I just watch the DOM on the trading platform. If coming into the open I can gain a few ticks I do. usually the first bar is crowded with people getting in. I just go in ahead and get the bar 1 push. Also there were no tough trades coming into view that require reversing on bar 1
Thank you! Thank you also for providing all of last week's charts. Is it too much to ask for the log sheets that correspond with the charts you uploaded? Unfortunately, I'm still not able to decipher each of the notations without the corresponding entries for each bar. TIA
The opening trade direction on those two days appeared rather clear, ahead of time, even to me. What about the opening trade on Friday morning as an example? Friday's opening bar, especially, appeared unclear to me (along with the ensuing lateral movement). Does "sports memory" still play a role for you, under certain circumstances, at the open? -river
here is the open today (30SEP13) I included the carryover. there was a c turn on bar 76 so the sendiment became short. Two turns followed; neither were c turns from the Modrian Table. Thus a trend type progression (OOE is happening. At bar 1 the trend type is Set C. (orange and dark blue panels.) we enter short and watch the bar (s) form. we have money filling the tank and an XB. Bar 1 is a P1 for sure on PRV. (This means a shu in PP3 on bar 2) We will be long in no time. I am not impetuous but I do have an implicit and impeccable sense. I relax and collect the coin with a reversal so I can get an additional advantage on the upcoming herd's moves. So the bar is an OB where part 1 is a P1 and the "next" is a T1. Two values create an earlier turn called PP4. Modrian says "no" c turn so it is an a turn and the trend type becomes a Set D. This means we will be long for quite a while. Automatically on measurable bar 2 the P1 is assigned. All segments are isolated by the P1 assignment technique. "Read" the annotations on my chart. Bar 4 is NOT a PP1. Bar 7 is NOT a PP2. Pay dirt on bar 8 where we are gong to assign a b turn automatically. Notice the P1 to Ti's to P2 set up the A band EE sheet. bar 8< T1 in force means Ab LVBO. you are on your way.
Just between you and me, my memory built correctly over 56 years is really kinda a permanent resource. Everything is implicit on the 10 to 100millisecond level. So I am seeing feedback loops galore ALL of the time. I'll throw in a few "colored" comments between the support of learning I am posting. The bar 1 this am was going to be like Friday. I am trying really purposefully to get a rew going to support future problem solving. the open for me is just like gong to the gas station. It is not eventful but you do squeeze the hose handle to start filling the tank. Sports memory replaces impetuousness at some point. In the last two weeks we have quelled the impuls to take brief quick profits (CW has a name for this type of losing (scalping or whipsaw , I can't remember which)).
