  1. Also, you got ''gap'' in the ''Arrow'' column`s cells. What`s ''gap''? You said:

"caveat 1. when the second bar of a WAIT has a larger volume than the first bar of a Wait, you write UL in the arrow column. UL means Use Larger. If you have a UL, then you measure volume just as you would when an XB or XR transition bars occurs''

So what is it, ''gap'' or ''UL''?

Or are we having fun here?:D

  2. Ain`t see no arrows in the rightmost column,as you suggested.

  3. Why then additional columns ''Case'' and ''Squ''?

  4. Also,the "Retro" column is missed in Jerd`s xl.log

    Where`s Jered,btw?

  5. Meanwhile,

Move 1 for volume is P1>T1>P2
    Move 2 for volume is P2> T2
    Move 3 for volume is T2> P3.

I`m shoving off, until many things clear up!

    Cheers!

  6. Every morning when a new day starts you might have a gap between the open and the previous day's close. You have to close that gap by either mentally or physically (copy the last bars of the previous day) aligning yesterdays close with today's open at the open.

You also have gaps between bars. Between the close of a bar and the open of the next bar. You have to de-gap intra bar as well. On your chart it looks like you have a XB (Translation black = two bars where the second bar's high and low are higher than the previous bar), but there is a gap between the close of the first bar and the open of the second bar. If you now adjust the close and open (you use the difference between open and close to adjust the high and low as well) you might suddenly have a two bar combination that looked like a XB but it is now a FTP.

Some platforms can do that automatically but the one Jack recommends can't do it. Therefore he puts a column in his log in order to remind him that there was a gap and that he has to make the adjustment mentally.

The UL or Use Longer is important as well. You identify an internal case/formation. Immediately you want to put a "Wait" in your log. But you still have to look at the volume of the second bar which is creating that internal. If the volume of the second bar which creates the internal is higher than the volume of the first bar, then you have to use and log that volume bar. So you don't put "Wait" in the event column but you put whatever your volume test procedure tells you.

  7. Hi FF,you may want to re-read my post again.Jack said, that the "UL" mark(which he`s reduced to "U" on his display) should be placed in the "ARROW" column. If there is gap that supposed to be logged there should`ve been an appropriate column named "GAPS",i believe.Maybe with jack it goes the way you described, though. You know him better.

Yes,yes,i know what time it is.Stuff i have is not perfect, but i`ll re-do them with the programmer,to get the more advanced display. He says it doable.

Yes,it`s very complex task to transport everything Jack mentions to the platform. It goes double when you get it in a half. But i think the log part is important, regardless the advancement of the display you have.

"Use Larger", not longer.Yes, it means when the second volume bar of the formation is higher you put the "UL" mark on the head of the bar and use it in the sequence and treat it as either XR or XB.AND you put the "UL" mark on the first bar of the formation,if the subsequent volume bars lower.I believe it`s N-1.It`s a "Wait" situation, and you are "in the past" so far."UL" means "the money makers" in annotation. That`s the way i see it.

  8. Side note:de-gapping is the perfect,but not necessary,because of the fractal properties.You can pound it,twist it,stretch it,piss on it and it`ll still be a fractal.But i`m all for the perfection,too.

  10. What does OOE stand for?

Is there a good definition for 'Independent Variable' as it is used here?

    Thanks
