Doesn't matter which one you choose. But today's first bars are fine. The important thing is that you "get your feet wet". This way you will quickly find out what you already understand, where you have issues and how you are able to connect and transfer what you see on the chart to your log.
This means you are stuck and can not proceed further. Did you notice anything else that you are missing when you tried to fill the log? I could give you the names of the eleven volume instances but it would not help you. You would first need to know what their order of events is and then you would need to know how to identify/distinguish/calculate them with IF... THEN... ELSE(IF)...THEN... ELSE(IF)... IF volume.1 < volume.0 THEN name that bar... Maybe you can figure it out on your own, but I guess you will need to ask Jack for further input.
I am looking for the Boolean functions also. I really don't know what I don't have yet. All I know for sure is what I do have and that is the "Common Tape Annotations for Adjacent Bars (Not Exhaustive)".
Mr. Hershey, This is day 2. I have looked for the volume setups, and continue to read your posts. I have drawn some on my own volume setups, but I know that I am not really on base yet. I have read most of, and continue to read, "Building Minds for Building Wealth". Do you have any further direction?
theres no way you can trade that approach realtime even if it did have a verified edge. Youll have your head spinning in circles after the first 5 minutes.
I have to ask - based on the above statement, why did you gravitate away from what was apparently working? Your fundamental knowledge in ags seems to be a much more exploitable edge than what you are currently doing. I'm not here to belittle Jack or his methods but are you positive trying to decipher boolean this, fractal that, and struggling to get him to divulge the next cryptic nugget, is the best approach to arguably one of the most competitive markets? FWIW I spent several years as a nat gas scheduler and trader so I can at least somewhat understand where you've started from. I'm also not a full time trader, I considered trying at one point but it wasn't for me. I've realized that I prefer swing trading much much more!!
Jack, OutSource100, FrenchFry. Here is an attempt to do something. The chart is thru 1:05 CST. Where are my mistakes?
You pretty much said it. I was in ag and knew a lot about it...but, it was not what I wanted to do with my life. "It wasn't for me."
