I agree with Mitt !!! This is progress

  1. Romney is a jem of fun quotes.

"The Mormon religion adheres to the tenets of the Bible, and in the Bible Jesus gives this admonition:

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

"That wasn't meant to get preachy on you as much as it was to frame the seriousness of what Mitt Romney is doing inside of his claim to be some kind of holy and righteous man, just for the record. Because when you tell lies like that, or look people in the eye and straight up lie about Solyndra, or when you tell people a lefty author says Obama pushed the Affordable Care Act to intentionally slow down the economic recovery, then it is apparent to all who are listening that Mitt Romney is speaking in his native tongue of lies. There's nothing even slightly righteous about that, nothing good, and nothing worthy of the Oval Office."

Nothing against Mormons or their Faith, just explains a lot.

There is another number on the BLS tables for the 'civilian labor force', whatever that is, which has increased by 927k. Since I'm not sure what is included in that, I used the employment rate, according to which there are approx 228k more people working now than when BO took office. there are approx 700k more people unemployed. why? the workforce has grown faster than jobs by 2% since obama's term began. AND the private sector since 1/09, has added a net of 160k jobs.. fucking stellar growth, no doubt.

Net unemployment of 472k (total change employed- total change unemployed) since 1/09 and you guys are blowing each other and your god over this.. LOL is right. Even if I use the civilian labor force number, there is still only net growth of 227k jobs.. in 3 1/2 years.. with stimulus.. and bailouts.. and 'shovel ready jobs'. This economy is growing (debatable) IN SPITE of obama, not because of him.. can't wait till obamacare kicks in, that should really boost growth. /sarcasm

Oh, and he IS a fucking liar, there is no data set, anywhere on the BLS where he added 4.4 mil jobs. he must be cherry picking start dates, like a douche with the intention to deceive would.

Now go ahead and blame W like you do for everything else.. I included his whole term to make it easy. I'm ready for you.

  3. haha no responses. What happened to the big circle jerk.. you guys would rather sit around marveling at AK's monumentally ridiculous chart than confront reality? What a joke.

and what happened to my charts i wasted time putting them in but they're gone now

  4. It was never about the chart PB,its Romney saying in his own words that when you come into office with jobs falling off a cliff and it turns around that is progress and it takes awhile to get things turned around

  5. As you can see in the data from my post there has been very little progress since obama took office. I am not saying that if there wasn't a bailout things wouldn't have been worse, but there is no reason to think that we wouldn't be doing better right now, or be in about the same spot. Obama was the one who claimed his spending plan would reduce unemployment to 5.6% and that the private sector was fine. But according to the actual govt data, almost nothing has been accomplished by all that spending. If instead of being so cocky on a subject that he clearly is not too well informed on, he was more practical, then maybe he would be tolerable. However, he was cocky and he was wrong. About the only thing he did that was any good was to extend the bush tax cuts, while making the same mistake as Bush, increasing spending.

keep in mind that I am not naive enough to give any President full credit or blame for the economy. My problem here is that charts like the one you posted along with outright lies about the number of 'new' jobs created by obama are so stupid, it is insulting.

Anyway you can really only judge the effect a Pres/Congress has on the economy by their policies. In no uncertain terms, taxes and regulation HURT the private sector. Whether they are necessary, whether the public wants them, whether we NEED them to bring down the debt (highly debatable).. they hurt the private sector. So I am naturally opposed to guys that want to beef up regs or increase taxes. I absolutely hate people who need to lie about what they are doing.. he can say his rules and taxes are necessary, but he can't claim they actually help the economy. that is what the whole dem party does now and it is just a big lie.
