This is one of many problems in the black community. 60 Minutes, Anderson Cooper, 20/20 or one of those programs did a special segment about 6 months ago that revealed some horrible statistics. For example, even though blacks make up only around 7% of the overall population of the United States right now, they account for slightly more than half of all homocide victims (about 90% of whom are killed by other people of color). Accounting for about 50% of all homocides that occur is not bad enough though, in general the community does not co-operate with the police and as a result of this nearly 80% of all unsolved homocides involve a black victim. (Go ahead and claim that this is coz "the man dont care about dead blacks", but in cities where the majority of the police force and dectives are black as well they do care just as much, if not more about their own community.... as does any other person with a lick of common sense. The community as a whole has a ton of problems that could be addressed much more effectively by getting involved in society, starting successful business, encouraging strong families and communities and education (less than 1/3 of Urban Black men have a HS Diploma the last I looked). Until the community starts to address these issues, instead of looking to racial racketeers like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton progress with never be made. (an opinion by the way expressed by a huge number of educated young blacks, Bill Cosby etc, who are then assulted for not being black or caring about blacks) Well look at them, what the hell else can they be? They are a lot darker than me!! And, if they did not care about their community there is no way in hell they would be risking life and limb to get out and say what they are saying. More sick stuff in America. (Taxes, the war, immigration, insurance etc etc)
