I would just rather wait for all the clinical trials to complete the next 1 - 2 months involving HCQ in combo with several drugs I'm familiar with but I"m not familiar with HCQ itself other than that its commonly prescribed for malaria patients.

Yet, globally, maybe another 20 - 30k will die by the time those results are released. :(

when these institutions publish studies you have to find out how they conducted the study. from my understanding they only gave the patients the hcq once they were severely infected by covid. i read about a very reputable doctor that says he treated over ONE THOUSAND HIGH RISK patients and gave them some kind of combo of hcq and zinc and had very good results. out of the 1000 patients he treated that already contracted covid only 5 ended up on respirators and only 2 or 3 died. which translated to a higher then 99 percent success rate on high risk patients that already contracted the illness. he says that the key to his success was mixing the hcq with zinc and maybe some other thing. and he gave them this drug BEFORE the illness hit them hard, not after.

That's comforting to know. So if I get it I'll try to find that "very reputable doctor".

If you’re sick with COVID and multiple MD’s on staff tell you that they’ve had good results with HCQ or Remdesivir or XYZ helping speed recovery and they recommend it in your circumstance- I suspect that any of us would dispense with the political bias and take their advice.

I will insist on remdesivir. Plus dexamethasone if my lung is inflamed.

Statistically 1/3 would not based upon the CNN polls and other polls publish in medical journals the past +10 years.

Yet, I know I would if I did my own research prior to taking the first pill that they prescribed to me.

Similar stats with vaccines too...1/3 of the public will not take a Covid-19 vaccine and if they have children...they will prohibit their children from taking the vaccine. I saw polls on this too even from the anti-vaccine community.

There's a thread here at ET about Covid-19 in which I had counted many ET participants stating they will not take therapeutics nor vaccine because the consensus was it was rushed to the table and they felt there were safety issues.

I myself commented in the same thread about the Canary in the Coal Mine theme...I will let others go first before me...wait awhile and see what happens before I take it. :D

Very little talk in those threads about the Politics of the therapeutics / vaccine. More about the safety issues.

    That’s what Japan has approved.

The US in late June bought most of the World’s supply of Remdesivir.

Employers, schools, and States will make a vaccine mandatory if it’s proven.

What people tell some pollster on the street and what people actually do in a time of medical crisis are two different things.
