Estimated Canadian population 33,892,861 U.S. - 308,392,733 Similar populations huh? Looks like you're off by roughly 89%. Probably about the same administrative expenses? IOW you have no fucking idea. And either you don't care ( about reality) and or you're hoping no one else does either. How convenient to assume OUR government will be as efficient as another, despite all the history to the contrary, just because it suites your agenda.
He was presumably referring to demographics. As Republicans always say, USA is #1. And as they also say, the US government is the most incompetent of all governments. It's kind of a reverse patriotism.
are you really that dense? if canada spends 16% of healthcare costs on administration how does a larger population change the dynamics? 16% is still 16% and its half of what we spend now. similar population as in similar living standards.
It doesn't theoretically but in reality it's still an apples to oranges comparison. The US government IS NOT the Canadian government.
Even if Canada, one country, has half of the admin costs that the US private sector does, what does it matter? Is their health care system better? Is there universal health care system the same as ours will be? If the plan is so good then why is it being jammed through congress with such amazing speed (relative to EVERYTHING else they do) instead of standing on its own merits? The WHOLE POINT is that there are better ways to approach the problem, which will not lead to another financial black hole program for the federal government. ' Keep in mind that the government can only exist as a parasite to the private sector, they get paid with our tax money. They have better benefits, garaunteed pensions, shorter careers, and NO responsiblity. They can operate at a loss and it is excepted because of the nature of the government. That is not to say that I am against all programs, but there has to be confines for the govt, when the economy contracts, they should get bigger? One of the biggest contradictions that exists in left wing politics is that they are supposed to be champions of freedom/individual rights, but they are all in support of forcing people onto their programs. Yet when Bush invades Iraq, it is a ploy for oil and we are stealing from them, forcing them to live like us, Imperial power etc. So what is the standard that you guys abide by? Please refer to Sections 8 and 9, Article 1 of the Constitution, and point out where there is enough latitude to support the current universal health care proposal, also note that the word welfare did not carry the same meaning when the Constitution was written, as it does in modern times. I am no Constitutional lawyer, but it seems unconstitutional to me to force citizens onto a federal program.
Talking shit again, based on nothing. Did u read that over so quickly? I didn't think so. So u have proven yourself to be a partisan, unreasonable asshole. i have written some perfectly rational posts and asked valid questions, but instead of answering them u just take one sentence and personally attack me. Fuck You.
I read it and it was funny. Don't get your panties in a wad man go with the flow. Not one post here will make any difference at all. Just a place to post your opinion and read others and entertainment and your constitutional lawyer remark was a gem, good fun. Keep posting I'll keep reading as long it's not too long.
I am unsure as to why u think I give a shit about your opinion of me. You started a thread which I am trying to discuss, but everytime I make a post u make a totally unrelated, lame ass personal attack, instead of responding to the topic. And I'm not mad, look back to your first response to me, and tell me u didn't have a stick up your ass. I was gonna suggest midol, but I know better than to argue with a leaky bitch. So what is the point of this thread anyway?
It is you who has no fucking clue what you are talking about, the reason why we have a lower administrative cost per person in Canada is because we have a healthcare system which is DRASTICALLY worse then in the U.S. If you want to go back to those costs be prepared to wait from 6 months to a year for an MRI, heard many stories of people having to wait for months just for Chemo, have fun when your cancer survival rates go down drastically because that is what is coming. There is no place in the world that i would rather be sick when im covered then in the U.S. and I have lived in both. Quit talknig about Canada as if it is some sort of Utopia, when you know absolutely nothing about how fucked up our healthcare system.
