If I were single, I would have flown out on Sunday and I'd already be at a hotel bar in some state I haven't been to before watching the storm on TV and sipping on bourbon. But since I have a wife and two dogs, getting out quickly to a destination that could accommodate us all gets complicated.

A lot of people, including my in laws, don't understand that WIND resistance is the exponential of the speed. So she thinks because she was OK in 90 mph winds, that 150 mph is only 60% "more" when in fact it is 180% more. That is why there is no Category 6 rating. After 5 there is nothing left. Like a stock that can't go below 0. Beware the tornados!!!! 90 warnings so far inland. 11 confirmed.
Getting Tornado warnings about every 15 minutes. Two confirmed in local area touched down in the past hour. Lights here flickered a little, so any hour now it might go down. Sister and brother-in-law have a propane generator, no dealing with whether area gas stations are open or closed for refills. So I got somewhere to go if the power goes down. Trouble is I am across the causeway from them, and most likely the bridge will be closed till things get calm again, sub-40 mph winds.
Since Milton is 125mph max now that is 93% increase from the 90 mph on Helene. I wish stocks were like that~
