Stay safe. Normally we don't hear much about US hurricanes in Australia but this time Hurricane Milton is all over the news.
Good luck @Baron and all those ET members near the vicinity of this storm. I’ve been through many storms and I agree that the intensity level is off the charts on this one. My heart goes out to all those in the area. I’ll be praying for everyone’s safety.
Do you have to evacuate? Are you in the evacuation zone? Whatever happens, stay safe, @Baron!! Take however long you need (hopefully don't need to). You never know with these hurricane, it might change course at the last minute. We will all be rooting and praying for you. Thank you for providing us traders a sanctuary here. Update us when you can.
You and me both @Baron. I'm on the bottom edge in St Lucie County currently. Cousins down in Boca Raton and a niece who lives in Holiday over by New Port Richey but moved inland to other family around Lake Okeechobee. Wish all the best. Been through every East Coast 'Cane since Andrew in '92. As well as a couple up north in the decades prior to moving to the Sunshine (and Hurricanes) State lol.
"Mandatory" evacuation isn't enforced. A study was done that shows more people evacuate if they use "mandatory". Many probably aren't aware they won't be forced out of their home. Anyone in a mandatory evacuation zone may not receive help though if it should be needed. I'm in Zone B in Pasco Co. which is a mandatory evacuation zone but I'm staying. Just went for a walk and I'd guess 25% of neighbors stayed based upon the vehicles in the drive.
