  2. I myself prefer the scavenging analogy. Rural Texas roadkill chili is my specialty. But that is nothing compared to the best strategy of all, the one most practiced on the Street: theft.

    ....Don't bother with statistics that show a majority of cheetah lose 80% of KILLS! Just as long as the poster has an analogy to guide him in trading like a predator uses analogies to kill. Oh wait, the latter is not true. How can the former be true?

    edit: my apologies! i misread your post. i think analogies are useful in trading if a really smart and educated trader has to find a way to teach a really stupid and uneducated trader; If one cannot find expressions in math and language to establish a learning connection and has to resort to analogies. Your entries are not prey. Your exits and not gathering crops/prey. Any biting of the neck is done in the men's bathroom by a trader to a prostitute at the NYSE and only when the boss is out to lunch.
