Biden is low and so was Trump and so are most other world leaders. It’s the times. What’s interesting about Biden and democrats is the main reason they don’t want him to run again is his age. To put this into perspective inflation and Ukraine is dragging done the approval of leaders all across the world. And I know you think inflation is Biden’s fault but it’s really not and there is very little he can do about it or any other world leader. The disruption of countries pulling out of the pandemic at different times and getting back up and running has been extremely disruptive, especially to “just in time” supply models.
Leaders have to have strong popularity to ride out rough times. This goes with the turf. Joe's problem is that it has been like a turd falling out of bed since he started running. His nomination was really an accommodation. Never a sign of enthusiasm for him anywhere. And it has been downhill since. Trump, Macron, Trudeau, etc. all had/have had very high points among at least their followers and beyond that in good times. Not so for Joe. So yeh, I will give ya that in these times everyone is taking hits but my point remains that he was a shitty candidate both before election and if you wanted someone who could govern. Ditto for Kamala. Since it is predictable that leaders will go through rough times you never want candidates that don't even have the reserve to be a good candidate. If they are marginal candidates but have had success elsewhere in life sometimes they can work with that until they grow into the job. But Joe has been around DC for 50 years and is a proven dud. Kamala is newer on the scene but even Californians did not support her in the primary and she says stupid things every time she opens her mouth. Not a good place to start knowing that- to your point- all leaders are going to take major hits. No reserve there. Any higher marks that Biden may have had earlier are just for not being Trump. Any idiot knew that at some point that would not be enough. Get some better candidates. I don't mean Hillary but we do know your choices seem to be limited.
Remember you're arguing with the same moron who repeatedly said Biden would never be the democrat nominee, that Warren would be the democrat nominee, and that Trump would beat Biden.
I get everything is clouded by inflation but Biden as a dud or unable to govern doesn’t hold up against his legislative accomplishments. He’s put together two bipartisan pieces of legislation to date, one major infrastructure package and the first movement on gun safety in decades. I don’t who else you can think of that could have accomplished that. He also looks like he will be able to get some prescription drug reform and probably the most surprising cannabis reform. Comparatively Biden actually has a strong legislative record to date. You keep saying get better candidates for democrats but republicans have problems with that this cycle.
That prescription drug reform piece is just a remnant left over from his multiple, multiple attempts to pass the much larger crockastructure bills that Manchin has repeatedly torpedoed. It is a plus for him but just something he has salvaged out of the wreckage. It's like having a couple huge airliners crash and you find one body moving in the end. Ditto for the climate change stuff. All of that collapsed as an administration initiative. Now Joe uses executive orders to put bondo and duct tape on it. The progressives all see what is going on. Look, you have earned your potato multiple times over on this. Joe is the Von Hindenburg of American politics. Take it up with your fellow lefties. The republicans already have two candidates that excite lots of people. Joe never excited anyone anywhere. Also, in regard to Joe's legislative accomplishments. Yeh, he sheparded through legislation that locked up an entire generation of black males. We have been over all of that in the first campaign. Take it up with the progressives. You should be working on at least trying to get support from democrats for Joe and Kamala before you try your luck with me. You are just lost in space and having trouble changing gears as Joe goes down. Next month you will be off singing the praises of Gavin Newsom as the script requires and you will be feeling peppy because you see a way forward, allegedly. I will help you as best I can until you get there. If you need to cling to Joe's casket a little longer as it is lowered into the political ground, then fine.
Sure, Jan. Shoulda married the stripper instead. At least she would have known what to expect. https://radaronline.com/p/hunter-biden-marriage-to-wife-melissa-strained-on-rocks/
I’m just calling balls and strikes here. You claim Biden was a bad candidate but he wasn’t. He got more votes than anyone for president ever. He has significant legislative accomplishments too but the times are overwhelming across the globe and he and democrats will most likely pay that price. Se la vi.
No. Biden was a total failure as a candidate. But the party needed someone who was not Bernie, so the powers that be installed Biden. And the hope was that, similarly, the powers that be would create a circle of handlers to take care of business in the White House. At no point did anyone think Joe was competent to function all by himself or upon his own merits, either as candidate or as president. You have a hundred reasons why Biden is a great candidate and a great president. Except not even- or especially- the dems want him to run again. Apparently they have not gotten your memo. Fine though. We can watch how his 2024 campaign goes. And of course, midterms are always a referendum on the president, so we can watch that too. And yes, I see you coming with the statement about how every president takes a midterm hit. BUT NOTHING LIKE THIS SLAUGHTER COMING COWBOY. Dr. Tard. Always right about everything if you can overlook the fact that all his patients die.
You seem to have a lot of inside information about “the powers that be” and what those “powers” thought and planned. Either that or you’re just making things up. Thanks for the insight but I’m going to stick with Joe Biden was in fact the best candidate who beat everyone on the democrat ballot in 2020 and Trump multiple times in multiple states.
I see. So suddenly you don't even know who people such as Jim Clyburn are. And I have not disagree with your assertion that Biden was the best candidate on the ballot. That is why you and your ilk are in a pickle today. He was the best you had. As I have said repeatedly "you need to find better candidates.' But if you want to go with Joe and Kamala, then be my guest. Oh, and I will also say, contrary to what many conservatives and media say, I think Joe is as good as he has ever been. Unfortunately, he has always been a dufus clown who could not tell his arse from a hole in the ground.
