Yeah I get you want to do hit and run comments but while the trend is against whomever the democrat nominee is against right now the variable is the Supreme Court. A lot depends on how the next two terms of the court go. Also, don’t get too cocky with DeSantis. He is not exactly a middle of the road guy. His appeal is overly right.
Try making that the economy rather than the Supreme Court. As I said earlier, the voters are about as cranked up about a court decision right now as they can get. However, only 8% of voters say that abortion is their number one concern. Don't mean to keep shocking you by pointing this out to you the third time this week, but the biggest variable for the dems will be whether you can find a good candidate or not for 2024. As I said earlier, your hillary electoral college beef was really related to your not being able to find a quality candidate to push her up into electoral college majority. And all of your current problems with Joe are related to your inability to find a quality candidate and having to settle for shit. You had 30 candidates. All losers. Maybe try 130 next time.
I don’t know about the economy being an issue in 2024. We should theoretically be cycled through by then. At the same time we could end up in a protracted state of uncertainty and choppy economic conditions. I would say the latter is less likely though.
I was still typing. Read the rest of my post to benefit from the guidance you are being given. You are welcome.
What do you mean by “good candidate?” Was Joe Biden not a good candidate? He beat everyone on the democrat side and the Republican candidate. It can be said for Trump he was a good candidate and then a bad candidate. If DeSantis loses to whomever the democrat nominee was he a good candidate? At the end of the day, this argument of a “good candidate” is flat because it’s all about who wins. Before the election Joe Biden said if he lost he would be called a “lousy candidate” but you can’t really say that about him can you because he won. And that is Joe Biden’s place, a good candidate in 2020. 2024 will work the same way. We’ll see.
He was a good candidate from a political hack point of view: ie. all you want to do is win and who cares what comes next. For Americans who care both about being able to win AND TO GOVERN, then he was a shit candidate. The "not being able to govern" was totally foreseeable but you only cared about and still only care about the political hack part.
Hah! As far as governing goes it’s a rough go everywhere in the world. Biden asked for the job and he got it. No one should really say otherwise. Where you are making your mistake is thinking he wasn’t the best person for the job. He was. You may not like that reality but it’s true. This is in contrast to the last time when Hillary Clinton was in fact the better person for the job but she lost to your idol. However, take some time and go back through what I said. I don’t agree that a “good candidate” is necessarily based on winning like I don’t agree Fox News is a good news source based on ratings.
I see. The best candidate for the job is someone who now has a 30% or less approval rating and over 74% of democratic voters do not want him to run again. I will leave you to your kool-aid for the evening comrade.
