Newsflash, Hunter evaded paying his full taxes and like any rich person, he had a good chance to wriggle off the hook through the power of money. The political spotlight the Republicans put on him changed that. He became a junkie, fell into the gutter and made worse by his brother's death. Nobody dispuits this and though an educated man, junkies make bad choices. The example set, Trump is going to make an Alford plea, it will be objected to and he can bunk with Hunter. Since he admits it, he gets the sentence the judge imposes. Which he may appeal, again, money. No big deal.
the difference is that from what i read he borrowed the money and paid off irs taxes already, no irs judgement or liens against him. now it is an afterthought.
